Clinical inputs
Allowed range: 0.1–30 mg/dL
Any creatinine that has a matching clearance. Their product stands in for creatinine production and can be reused through one acute episode.
Allowed range: 1–250 mL/min
The paper's worked rise uses 1.10 mg/dL with a clearance of 91 mL/min.
Allowed range: 0.1–30 mg/dL
Allowed range: 0.1–30 mg/dL
Allowed range: 0.1–168 hours
Allowed range: 0.1–10 mg/dL/day
Per day. The worked example uses 1.5 mg/dL per day. The paper also describes a customary range of 1.0 to 1.5 and observed intensive-care values of 1.3 to 2.0.

Chen S. Retooling the creatinine clearance equation to estimate kinetic GFR when the plasma creatinine is changing acutely. J Am Soc Nephrol. DOI: 10.1681/ASN.2012070653. PMID: 23704286. KeGFR = (steady-state creatinine × its clearance / mean of the two creatinines) × (1 − 24 × change in creatinine / (hours × maximum daily rise)). Change is the later creatinine minus the earlier one. The paper's step-decrement example uses 1.10 mg/dL with clearance 91 mL/min, a rise from 1.10 to 2.29 mg/dL in 23 hours, and a maximum rise of 1.5 mg/dL per day, and describes the result as near 10 mL/min.
