Olsson T, Terent A, Lind L. Rapid Emergency Medicine score: a new prognostic tool for in-hospital mortality in nonsurgical emergency department patients. J Intern Med. DOI: 10.1111/j.1365-2796.2004.01321.x. PMID: 15078500. Table 3 assigns 0–4 points to mean arterial pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and GCS, and 0–6 points to age (<45 = 0, 45–54 = 2, 55–64 = 3, 65–74 = 5, >74 = 6). Each point had an odds ratio of 1.40 for in-hospital death in the derivation. (2004)
