Barra ME, Phillips KM, Chung DY, Rosenthal ES. Prediction Accuracy of Winter-Tozer Equations to Estimate Free Phenytoin Concentrations. Pharmacotherapy. PMID: 29029667, stating the Winter-Tozer equations. With ordinary renal function the normalized concentration is the measured total divided by (0.2 × albumin in g/dL + 0.1). In end-stage renal disease the albumin coefficient is 0.1. The 10–20 µg/mL band is the usual total-phenytoin reference applied to that normalized value. (2017)
