Frequently asked questions

How is academic pricing verified?

Academic pricing is applied automatically when you sign up with a recognised academic or institutional email address. If your institution email is not recognised, contact support@ruqelo.com and we will verify manually.

Can I switch to a standard plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade to standard pricing at any time from your account. Academic pricing applies for as long as your academic status is active.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel with one click. No questions asked.

Is patient data safe?

Ruqelo is designed for de-identified clinical use — do not enter patient-identifiable information. Clinical prompts are processed to generate outputs; conversation history and preferences you save are stored on your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

Is my clinical input used to train AI models?

No. Clinical inputs you submit to Ruqelo are processed transiently to generate your output and are not used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI model.

What are Instant, Thinking, and Extended response modes?

Instant mode generates your output in seconds — ideal for quick notes and rapid queries. Thinking mode applies deeper clinical reasoning to complex cases before responding. Extended mode is Ruqelo's most thorough output, best for detailed reasoning, referral preparation, and complex multimorbidity — available on Elite.

Can I export or copy my clinical notes and outputs?

Yes. All Ruqelo outputs can be copied directly from the workspace. Simulate scenarios on Elite can also be exported and shared.

Can I start for free?

Yes. Every new account includes 5 clinical notes, 2 clinical reasoning drafts, and 1 voice consultation at no charge.

What happens when my free notes run out?

Choose Basic, Plus, or Elite — or your access pauses. No automatic charges.

Are patient summaries formal medical records or legal documents?

No. Ruqelo patient summaries are plain-language communication aids intended to help patients understand the key points discussed during a consultation. They are not formal medical records, not confirmed diagnoses, not clinical letters, and not substitutes for the clinician's or institution's official documentation. Use of a Ruqelo patient summary for legal, regulatory, insurance, disciplinary, or liability purposes is not intended and is disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The treating clinician's or institution's official medical record remains the authoritative record of care.

What if my working assessment changes after I share a summary?

That can happen in normal clinical practice. Each Ruqelo patient summary is designed to reflect a point-in-time working assessment based on the information available during the consultation. It should not be treated as a final diagnosis, prognosis, or guarantee of outcome. If new symptoms, test results, specialist input, or clinical deterioration change the assessment, the clinician's updated advice and the official medical record take precedence.

Is sharing a patient summary an admission of any clinical finding or outcome?

No. Sharing a Ruqelo patient summary is a supplementary communication act — not a formal clinical statement, not an admission, and not a warranty of any diagnosis or prognosis. The summary is AI-generated from de-identified inputs you provide. It is not authored by you in the same manner as a formal clinical letter or record. Our Terms of Service and Clinical Governance page set this out explicitly.

How should organisations evaluate Ruqelo for clinical risk and governance?

Ruqelo is designed to support clinician-supervised workflows, not replace institutional documentation systems or clinical judgment. Patient summaries are supplementary communication aids — not medical records or legal documents. For organisational use, Ruqelo should be reviewed within the institution's normal governance, information security, data protection, clinical safety, and professional liability frameworks. Ruqelo provides limitation language, clinician verification requirements, de-identified-use controls, and automatic patient-summary expiry — but no software can remove all clinical or legal risk. For institutional queries, contact support@ruqelo.com.

Does Ruqelo replace my clinical documentation or medical record?

No — and this is important. Ruqelo generates drafts and communication aids. Your formal clinical record must always be completed through your institution's standard documentation system. A Ruqelo note draft is a starting point for your record — not a substitute for it. A Ruqelo patient summary is supplementary communication — not the record of care itself.

What happens to a patient summary after 7 days?

The summary expires automatically and the content is no longer accessible via the QR link. This time-limited access reinforces the provisional, point-in-time nature of the summary and ensures outdated clinical information does not remain accessible indefinitely. Expiry is automatic — no action needed from you.

Does Ruqelo learn my documentation style?

Yes. Ruqelo's adaptive style memory observes how you structure notes and frame clinical reasoning across sessions. Over time it applies your preferred style automatically — your shorthand, your note format, your clinical voice. No configuration required.
